I am soooooo glad I continued on with each book that Audible releases. Mitch is my Fav in the Pride series with his sexiness!!! I wasn't over the top with the first book but it's pertinent to the character& world building to this series. An fabulous book, I really did love the relationship between Mitch and Sissay. although the hot sex scenes are quite delicious as well. The supporting characters are really the best part of the book. I also love the crazy dynamics of both the pack & pride families. But one thing leads to another and they begin to realize that their feelings for one another run deeper than friendship. Sissy Mae is a good friend that helps him hide out for awhile.
He discovers that an assasin has been hired to take him out. Mitch is an undercover detective about to testify against a big mafia-type badboy. Yes, it's a bit raunchy and dysfunctional, but it's still a extremely fun read. This book is about Mitch (lion shifter) and Sissy Mae (wolf shifter) - both whom you meet in earlier books.
This is another one of my favorite PNR series when I'm looking for good humor and silliness.
Mitch has his pride, and he intends to show Sissy Mae that when a lion sets out to make you his mate, the only thing to do is purr, roll over, and enjoy one hell of a ride.

Or that gunmen are trying to kill Mitch, and Sissy Mae now has to escort a bleeding, stubborn, yet still incredibly sexy lion shifter to her Tennessee Pack's turf to keep him safe? It doesn't help that Mitch's appraising gaze makes her feel like the most desirable creature on earth, or that the ultimate stray cat is suddenly acting all kinds of possessive. Weddings have the strangest effect on people.
